Trimble Scan Essentials
Working with existing buildings or complex environments? With Trimble Scan Essentials, you bring point cloud data directly into SketchUp as a dimensionally accurate 3D reference. This allows you to design based on reality instead of assumptions.
You can easily import file formats such as E57, RWP, LAZ, TZF, LAS and PLY and work with them directly in your model. Ideal for renovation, transformation and projects where accuracy is critical.
What you can do with Scan Essentials
- Import and work directly with complex point clouds in SketchUp
- Combine multiple scans into one consistent environment
- Adjust color and transparency for better visual insight
- Zoom in on specific details using the Clipping Box
- Create accurate cross-sections from your scan data
- Place and validate your model within the scanned environment
- Analyze deviations using the Inspection Tool
- Export your model including point cloud data to LayOut
