End of Support Policy

Developments do not stand still, and all operating systems and software move with the times. So it can happen that outdated software no longer works as it should or what we expect it to. This is why SketchUp has an “End of Support” policy for older versions of SketchUp.

The “End of Support” policy applies to all SketchUp products installed on PC or Mac. At the time the “End of Support” takes effect, the status of the product you are using changes from “Supported” to “Unsupported”. Once the product is on “Unsupported”, certain components will no longer be supported or accessible.

The status of the product is updated on every January 31 of the third year after the release year of the product.

Unsupported

Once the product is set to “Unsupported,” it is no longer supported and you can expect the following:

  • Some basic SketchUp features will no longer be available
  • Extensions will no longer function properly or will not function at all
  • It is no longer possible to receive technical support through the reseller. The reseller will ask you to update to the latest version before they can provide support.

SketchUp functions are disabled

Once the product is set to “Unsupported,” the functions below will no longer be available:

  1. 3D Warehouse
  2. Extensions Warehouse
  3. Add location
  4. Generate Report
  5. Sefeira
  6. Live Components
  7. Trimble Connect

Up to date

All SketchUp subscriptions provide access to the latest version of SketchUp. As soon as you use the latest version of SketchUp, there is nothing wrong and you can always use all SketchUp functionalities and extensions.

If you have an older version, but still have a valid SketchUp subscription, download the latest version from our website, install SketchUp and log in with your credentials.
